The Phillips Foundation (TPF) was established in 2017 and has partnered with over 70 organisations globally to support children and young access education, feel hopeful about their future and empowered to achieve their full potential. Each year, TPF invites prospective partners to apply for a discovery grant. This year the Foundation is seeking Expression of Interests from organisations aligned with the following funding focus areas.

2025 Discovery Grants Program
The Phillips Foundation is currently seeking expression of interests from prospective partners in its Discovery Grants program. To be eligible, partners must be endorsed as Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipient partners.
Our 2025 grants program will focus on two strategic focus areas for the Foundation: Swim Skills for Life and Health and Active Lifestyles. We are considering requests of investment up to $35,000 AUD.
Grants open on 13/02/25 and will close on the 1/04/25.

TPF Partnership and Investment Strategy
The Phillips Foundation has three investment programs aligned with our founders philanthropic intentions. Our investments are applied through the following framework:
Discovery philanthropy: annual grants program that invests in direct service delivery or individual change programs and initiatives
Strategic philanthropy: multi-year investments with partners who we believe are interested in partnering with others to achieve systems change.
Venture philanthropy: long-term investments that combines grant-making and impact investment to achieve system change and identify community-led intervention models that may be applied in other communities.

Healthy and Active Lifestyles
The Phillips Foundation and Phillips Group entity, Phillips Coaching, are committed to support children and young people achieve healthy and active lives.
Our current investments include community service and sporting aligned organisations, scholarship funds and system change intiatives seeking to improve access to healthy and active lifestyles in schools.
We are actively seeking partners to join us in achieving our broad goal: “Young people are supported throughout their individual athlete journey & empowered to achieve their full potential”.
Swim Skills for Life
The Phillips Foundation has been investing in organisations and programs supporting children and young people to improve their swimming skills to enjoy rather than avoid and fear the water.
Our investments are aligned with the World Health Organisation’s Drowning Prevention Global Strategy (Safe Placees, Safe Journeys and Safety Skills) and empowered local communities to develop, pilot and implement initiatives that have meaningfully reduced drowning risks and improved safety near water.
We are actively seeking partners to join us in achieving our broad goal: that children and young people are equipped with the swimming skills to enjoy rather than avoid and fear the water.
Living Ripples
Living Ripples Ltd is a significant venture philanthropy investment for The Phillips Foundation.
Living Ripples Ltd is currently seeking expressions of interest from organisations that can support schools to build student resilience and wellbeing.
Organisations that demonstrate an alignment with Living Ripples broad goal are invited to encouraged to formalise their interest in joining our cohort of school wellbeing providers. Organisations may be eligible for program delivery subsidies, and where suitable, impact investments.
