The Phillips Foundation is a proud supporter of So They Can, a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering children living in poverty through education.
In April, So They Can started production of NIA Empowerment Pads – reusable sanitary packs made by local women trained by So They Can for distribution to girls from the communities So They Can works with. In June, So They Can distributed NIA Dignity Packs (which are reusable washable sanitary kits) made by So They Can to 400 girls in east Pokot.
The Phillips Foundation was pleased to support this important initiative and give girls dignity and support during their menstruation, and support them continue to go to school.
