We were delighted to receive a note from Ben from the Clontarf Foundation this week, sharing some great news about the new Year 12 group who are gearing up for their final year of high school.
“Last week, all Victorian Year 12 Clontarf Academy Members from regional Victoria came to Melbourne to participate in the annual Year 12 Leadership Camp.
“This annual camp presents as a great development opportunity for our most senior members, as they begin to tackle their final year of schooling. The aim is to continue building the students capacity to make the future transition from school to work; broaden their understanding of potential employment prospects; as well as reinforce the value and importance of work and/or future post-school training.
“Under the theme of sharing the journey, there is also a focus on developing camaraderie and awareness amongst the group that they are an important part of advancing improved educational and employment outcomes in the broader Aboriginal community.
“Each Academy and their Year 12 members were extremely impressive across the 3 days, we felt a real sense of desire and motivation to complete year 12 together as group.”
The Phillips Foundation is a proud supporter of the Clontarf Foundation and we’re looking forward to sharing more good news stories throughout the year.
