This year has been incredibly challenging for people around the world, with COVID-19 creating a range of restrictions and directly affecting the ability of children and young people to get to school, and in many instances, leave their homes.
The Phillips Foundation was very pleased to have been able to team up with Dymock’s Children’s Foundation to deliver a suite of brand new books, puzzles and games to the children residing across the nine public housing towers in Flemington and North Melbourne that went into hard lockdown in July.
Sabrina Adem, who has been coordinating donations for children in the towers, shared with us;
“It’s amazing to be able to support these kids during these tough times. Many parents have told me that the new books, toys and games donated have helped keep their children busy and distracted from the current state of our world.”
Our gratitude also goes out to AMSSA Youth Connect for their coordination around the logistics of getting the donations in to the children.
